Shopping for Father’s Day has always been a little tricky for me, but this year I have curated a list of gifts that any dad will love! Those cute DIY gifts from the littles are a fun idea, but sometimes Dad deserves something a little more. With options to fit any budget or style, this list will help you find the perfect Father’s Day gift for the dad in your life.
Some products have been gifted for review purposes, but all opinions are my own.
Bacon Subscription Box
They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and this gift is guaranteed to make his heart sing! The Baconer has a quarterly bacon box subscription called The Strip Club (get it?), containing 3 packages of different bacon cuts or flavors. The gift that keeps on giving, Dad can have delicious bacon delivered to his doorstep 4 times a year.
Using responsibly sourced meat, The Baconer provides flavor that doesn’t disappoint. They also give back by donating 10% of every online purchase placed at thebaconer.com to World Central Kitchen’s #ChefsForAmerica initiative.
Spice Gift Boxes
Does your dad enjoy stirring things up in the kitchen? Add a little kick to his day by gifting him a selection of curated spices! Founded in 1957, The Spice House has over 400 spices on their site, all expertly sourced and ground fresh every day in small batches to maximize their delicious flavor.
The Spice House offers gift boxes that can cover any dad, from one who loves global adventuring during dinner to those who are searching for delicious grilling or BBQ blends. (Our personal favorite is the Barbecue Deluxe Collection.) Whatever you choose, Dad will be happy to show off his new spices – and you’re almost guaranteed to devour his new culinary creations!
Drinks for Dads
With all that Dad does for us, he deserve to kick back and relax from time to time. These two drink suggestions are sure to help him do just that!
Recuerdo Mezcal is similar to tequila but is made with 100% agave. The smoky flavor adds complexity that makes this drink more interesting than other liquors – and you can choose with the worm or without. Serve dad some mezcal with a cold beer and tell him to sip it with besitos (Spanish for kisses)!
Ron Barceló Dark Series rum features exceptionally seductive notes and an incomparably smooth aftertaste. Its woody flavor gives way to caramelized fruits, nuts and offers a perfect balance of sweetness. Serve it up on the rocks, neat, or mixed into a delicious cocktail. My personal favorite recipe is a Pina Isolada:
2 oz Ron Barceló Dark Series
1 cup frozen pineapple
2 oz coconut cream
1 oz coconut water
In a blender, add all ingredients and blend until smooth and frosty
Pour into a daiquiri or tall glass
Garnish rim with toasted coconuts and top off with coconut flakes and a cherry
Custom T-Shirts for Dad
When you want a sentimental gift for Dad (or Grandpa) with a hint of DIY but none of the mess, Picture This Clothing is the answer.
Picture This Clothing is a new way to let imaginations run wild to create a wearable masterpiece. Besides, what’s cuter than Dad wearing a t-shirt designed by his own little fashion designer? More than just a gift, it’s a fun activity that families can do together.
Aren chose to create two shirts, one for Dad and one for herself, that were very similar but had each of their names on the front. Picture This Clothing also gives you the option to create one shirt and have it printed in a variety of sizes, so Dad can twin with his #1 fans! (And in case you’re wondering, the shirt quality is amazing! Very soft and the prints come out sooo good!)
Father’s Day PJs
The unofficial uniform of Father’s Day is pajamas, right? No need for real pants when all dad needs to do is relax!
Cool-jams is known for its top performing collection of temperature regulating sleepwear and hi-tech smart fabric sleepwear. The lightweight moisture-wicking fabric helps restful sleep by regulating body heat. Whether worn all night or all day (or both!), these pajamas are comfortable for either warm or cool climates, summer or winter seasons.
Good luck convincing Dad to change out of his Cool-jams once he puts them on! Better go ahead and plan to stay home all weekend.
Socks for Dad
I don’t know about your dad, but neither my dad nor my husband wear too many neckties. That traditional Father’s Day gift has become less popular over the years. Socks, however, are a step in the right direction!
(What’s a Father’s Day gift list without a few dad jokes?)
For the eco-minded dad, Conscious Step socks are the pair to share. A socially conscious sock company with socks that are ethically manufactured – made with organic cotton and non-toxic dyes. Conscious Step socks are Fair Trade, GOTS, and Vegan certified. Each design is paired with a nonprofit around the world to deliver a direct impact in making the world a better place. They also donate $1 for each pair sold to its nonprofit partner. Just choose the cause you want to donate to when you order!
For the dad who needs to run from the office to the gym, Almi Apparel has developed a sock that is the perfect blend of dress and athletic. Made with performance features like compression and anti-odor technology, these socks can be worn all day from the office to the gym.
VHS Conversion for the Camera Man
When I was growing up, my dad seemed to always have a video camera on his shoulder. I’m talking the 1985-edition huge camera that sat on his shoulder with a separate box for the VHS tape.
Now, 35 years later, those precious memories would risk being lost forever on a delicate VHS – not to mention I don’t even own a VHS player anymore! Thankfully he has been able to use a tool to convert hundreds of hours of old video to a more modern viewing option.
VIDBOX Video Conversion and Audio Conversion products enable you to transfer your old VHS, VHS-C, Beta and other analog format video, as well as cassette and phonograph records, to DVD and digital formats – helping you save space, organize your collections and protect family memories. You and Dad can have a long walk down memory lane as you convert all of your videos together!
Book for the Sports Car Lover
While I’m sure my dad would love for me to gift him a Porsche for Father’s Day, that kind of car is a little outside of my budget. This beautiful coffee table book is just the right price though, and can add gas to Dad’s racing dreams!
50 Years Porsche 914 is a color illustrated guidebook that gives the detail and history of the classic 914 model. Dad can discover the ups and downs of the difficult upbringing the 914 went through to become the celebrated model it is today!
If you’re in the Atlanta area, you might consider bundling this book with a day trip to the Porsche Experience Center so dad can enjoy the thrill behind the wheel of a Porsche car!
Fresh Air and Sunshine
Some dads just feel a little awkward with gifts and prefer to spend quality time with their families. If that’s your dad, consider making his Father’s Day gift one that he will always remember.
Pack up the fishing gear, gas up the ATV, or pack a backpack for a scenic hike and head out with Dad for a day of QT. No matter what outdoor activity he prefers, take care of all the details and make it impossible for him to say no.
Don’t forget to add in some of his favorite snacks, and slip in a gift with this copper water bottle from Copper H2O. In addition to its aesthetic qualities, recent studies have shown that copper is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-viral, which makes copper water bottles ideal for an active lifestyle. (Copper H2O also donates 15% of their profits to non-profit groups that work to supply clean drinking water in developing countries, if you want to help dad feel extra-good about his new gift.)
A Day of Self-Care for Dad
Some dads seem to run on an endless supply of energy – building forts, taking care of the lawn, changing lightbulbs – or at least that’s how my dad is. We almost have to twist my dad’s arm to get him to slow down and take care of himself.
But I’ve found if we make self-care pretty effortless, there’s a better chance of him slowing down and relaxing for a while.
Step 1 is getting him to sit in the massage chair. While our massage chair doesn’t lift his feet, it does recline back a bit to loosen up his tight muscles. (Bonus for you – you get to benefit from the massage chair when he isn’t using it!)
Step 2 is having him kick up his bath routine a notch. My dad would use whatever soap is within arm’s reach (literally) so I make sure he can grab soap that’s good for him. I buy moisturizing soap with essential oils from Grove Collaborative, and he never complains about the scent!
Step 3 is giving him premium care products for the finishing touch. While he may never admit it, Dad is a definitely conscious of how he looks when he leaves the house. He always dresses well and has his hair styled perfectly. MASAMI’s clean premium haircare brand is luxurious and high performing without any bad ingredients: no sulfates, parabens or phthalates. Dad will especially love this styling cream which is non-greasy, non-sticky and gives a light-medium hold.
Make New Memories
Whatever you do, make sure to enjoy the weekend with your dad. I am thankful for each moment I have with my dad #2, but I wish my dad #1 could still be here with me. Losing both of my parents at an early age has made me that much more appreciative of time with family.
