I started a Pinterest board just to save craft ideas for Father’s Day. I really missed getting handmade gifts this Mother’s Day and wanted my husband to have them still. My favorites are the fill-in-the-blanks about what your kids know about you!

See them all on my Father’s Day Crafts | Gifts for Dad Pinterest Board!

Father’s Day Crafts: Kid Number 1!

Notice I only took one child? Our impromptu homeschooling has taught me to do things one on one with the kids. It’s for all our sanity!

I whipped out my laptop and pulled up my Pinterest and loaded my new Father’s Day Crafts and Gifts for Dad Board on the screen.

Her eyes got big and instantly she was drawn to a tomato craft that is hilariously sweet and cute.

This is my daughters version of it:

This is a list of the supplies we used to make her Father’s Day Crafts:

  • a half a sheet of red construction paper,
  • a 3×4 inch piece of green construction paper,
  • less than a half-inch of pink construction paper,
  • a piece of bristol board (could not find cardstock, pretty sure the children ran away with it weeks ago),
  • scissors,
  • glue stick,
  • white glue,
  • googly eyes,
  • and black marker

It turned out great, and I’m sure Dad will love it.

I had been saving the fill-in-the-blanks to the Pinterest board as well so child number 1and I looked through and printed 3 different options.

By the time she was done her tomato craft (actually she still had to do the writing on it yet) she was ready to run for the hills and it took a bit more persuasion to get her to focus again.

Here is her chosen fill in the blank for Father’s Day:

Kid Number 2 | Father’s Day Crafts

The second child is our oldest and very independent she took one look and knew what she wanted and off she went. Oh wait, I made the mistake of saying independent too quick…

“Mom, where are the scissors?”

“Mom, where is the paper?”

“Mom, where is the glue?”

“Mom! Mom! Mom!” the word that echoes through my head even when all are asleep.

A few minutes later she comes to me with this incredible adorable Yoda Father’s Day Craft! All by herself haha.

Thanks for coming to our Father’s Day Crafts | Gifts for Dad Post!

I hope you enjoyed seeing our girls little projects and get crafting with your kids, or get your kids crafting. Right now the world is a tad bit of chaos and getting the kiddos distracted with crafts can help get their minds off of things.

One thing I remembered when crafting with children, my perfectionist tendency goes insane! Eek! Sometimes I think I should give them supplies and run and be just as surprised as their dad is when he opens his Father’s Day crafts! Whatever you choose I’m sure they will have fun!
