We recently moved to a smaller home out in the country, and of course we have no room for a big home gym like before. But I’m not going to let that stop me! I started looking for ways to keep up my home workouts and stumbled upon this foldable treadmill – the Feier Treadmill Star 100. It’s like it was made for indoor runners who want something stylish and easy to use, but still packed with all the good stuff you need for a solid workout.

Delivery of the Feier Treadmill Star 100

First off, I think I should mention that this treadmill is not at all a lightweight machine. At 178 pounds, the box wasn’t something I could move around by myself. It was delivered on a truck, and actually was placed next to my door on a pallet.

My husband and my brother-in-law moved the box inside for me. If the ability to get this running machine inside your house is a concern, I would definitely look into possible indoor delivery options or ask someone for help getting it to the room you want to use it.

This is the treadmill box in my small space.

The box arrived in great condition and was very well packaged. The treadmill was wrapped in a loose plastic bag and surrounded by styrofoam to keep it safe. It didn’t take me long to unbox the treadmill and start checking it out!

Ease of Assembly and Storage

As I mentioned, the box was 178 pounds — with the treadmill itself weighing in at 160 pounds (according to the side of the box. I clearly didn’t weigh it myself.) The treadmill arrived already assembled and ready to go. The only thing I had to do was get it out of the box and plug it in. This simplicity saved me valuable time and spared me from a lot of frustration I get with assembling fitness equipment.

Although my husband kindly offered to help set up the treadmill, I wanted to try to do it myself to see if it could be done. I know there are plenty of single people out there or readers who may live alone or who wonder if they can set up a 160 pound treadmill without help. I figure if I can do it (with a sketchy back, janky joints, and lack of strength from not working out consistently this year), then most people can probably do it too.

And I did it. All by myself.

It did take a little maneuvering to get the styrofoam out of the box and wiggle the box out from under the treadmill (there was one stubborn piece of styrofoam that wanted to be difficult), but it really wasn’t hard at all.

Then it was time to get it all set up to test out.

Inside the box, there was one small bag with just a few things – the instruction booklet, the power cord, the safety key, a bottle of lubricant, and tools to tighten the belt when needed. The instructions were pretty straightforward and it was easy to find the folding mechanism to help unfold and fold the treadmill.

There’s a small metal part near the front of the treadmill on the left side – you just pull it out so it is perpendicular to the base and press it down with your foot. This releases the arms so you can pull them upright and lock them in place. Then you pull the screen up to the desired angle and you’re ready to go!

To fold the treadmill back down for storage, you reverse the process. Press the LCD screen back until it’s flat and in line with the top tray. Pull on the release handles on the side of each arm and lower the arms/tray down to the belt.

If you want to store the folding treadmill in an upright position, there are two “feet” on the top of the front of the base. Pull those up and then you can lift the back of the base to a standing position. Easy peasy!

Design and Build Quality

The Feier Treadmill Star 100 looks amazing when set up. boasts a sleek and robust construction that immediately catches the eye. It has a super sleek and strong build that just grabs your attention. When I’m running on it, it feels solid and totally sturdy under my feet – like I can trust it with my most intense workouts. No shaking or weird creaky noises, which is a huge plus. The last thing you want to feel on an intense run is a wobbly base — and no worries with that on this machine!

But here’s the cool part – it’s designed so smartly. It’s like they thought about everything! It fits perfectly even in smaller spaces, which is great for my not-so-huge gym area at home. They’ve really paid attention to the details, like these top-notch rollers that keep the belt moving super smoothly.

It’s not just about looking good; this treadmill is built to last. I mean, I can tell it’s made with quality materials that are going to stand the test of time. Every time I hop on, I feel confident that it’s going to be a solid part of my fitness journey for a long while.

Feier Treadmill Star 100 Review of Features and Specifications

So, let’s dive into what makes the Feier Treadmill Star 100 really stand out for those of us who love working out at home. First thing’s first – the speed range is super versatile. You can go for a slow walk at just 0.5 miles per hour or ramp it up to a sprint at a maximum speed of 11.2 miles per hour. It’s perfect for anyone, whether you’re just starting out or you’re a pro runner looking for a challenge.

Here I am walking on the treadmill at no incline.

Now, one of the coolest features is its auto inclination. With just a button press, you can shift from a flat run to an up-to-12% incline. It’s like bringing hill running right into your living room, which is awesome for cranking up the intensity and burning more calories. I love using the incline adjustment to make my walks a little tougher without having to go all out on a run, especially if I’m trying to keep the noise to a minimum.

And here I am running at the max incline.

The tech side of things is pretty neat too. It has built-in heart rate monitors, helping you stay on track with your fitness goals. You just put your hands on the sensors and it gives you a reading within a few seconds.

The LCD display is clear and easy to use, showing you all your workout metrics: time, distance, and calories burned. Plus, it has Bluetooth connectivity to sync up with your devices, so you can jam to your favorite tunes or follow along with workout programs. I tested out some of my favorite Spotify playlists, and the music plays through a speaker on the back of the monitor. The speaker quality is nothing groundbreaking — not like I expected Bose quality or anything — but it’s a great option if you hate running with headphones.

One feature I didn’t even notice at first is the wireless charging tray. You can just set your phone on the center of the tray and you don’t have to worry about your battery running low while you listen to music, stream Netflix, or connect to your favorite running apps..

And get this – even though it’s designed to be compact for smaller spaces, the running area is still really spacious. The tread belt measures 20 inches wide x 57 inches long, which is very comfortable for movement even for a compact size machine. They’ve even added cushioning technology to keep your joints happy, which is a big plus for keeping your workouts comfortable and safe in the long run (pun intended).

Performance and Comfort

My workouts on the Feier Treadmill Star 100 have been reliable, and the consistency in speed is something I really appreciate. Whether I’m just going for a light jog or pushing myself with an all-out sprint, the treadmill keeps up perfectly. It’s super stable, no matter how intense my workout gets, and that’s a BIG plus for me.

Another thing I love is the cushioning. Running on this feels way gentler on my joints than hitting the pavement outside. My runs are more comfortable, and I’m finding that I need less time to recover afterwards. It’s a real win, especially if you’re into running regularly and want to go easy on your joints.

The noise level is surprisingly low, too. I can watch TV or listen to music without having to blast the volume, which is great since I don’t want to disturb anyone else at home. And the comfort level is top-notch – there’s plenty of space on the belt to move freely, and the handrails are right where I need them for a bit of extra support.

For fitness enthusiasts, and especially for moms who have to juggle exercise with taking care of kids, these features are fantastic. You get a safe and quiet space to work out right at home. It’s like the treadmill just fits into your life without any hassle.

User Interface and Controls

One thing that really stood out to me was the console display. It’s super clear and user-friendly, with big numbers and simple icons that make it easy to understand at a glance. And truthfully, I’m glad this treadmill doesn’t have a million different buttons, settings, and a million preset programs that I have to figure out how to use.

I love how this straightforward design makes my workouts smoother. I can make quick adjustments on the fly without having to pause and figure things out, which is awesome.

The controls are pretty intuitive too. I got the hang of the basic speed and incline functions in no time, without even having to dig into the manual. Adjusting things felt really responsive and easy – just a touch or a tap, and I was good to go. Plus, there’s this satisfying feedback when you press the buttons, so you know your input’s been registered.

I’ve got to say, the heart rate monitor on the handlebars is super handy, especially if you’re keeping an eye on your cardiovascular health. It’s great to get that instant feedback.

The pre-set workout programs are a game changer. They add so much variety to my routine and save me a bunch of time. It’s a breeze to switch between different modes, which keeps my workouts interesting and challenging. Being able to customize my own routines is a big plus too, as it lets me tailor my workouts to my specific fitness goals.

Honestly, my experience with the Feier Treadmill Star 100’s interface and controls has been fantastic. It’s easy and accessible for everyone, no matter how tech-savvy you are. It just makes the transition into your workout so smooth and hassle-free.

Safety Features

It’s important to note the safety features that ensure a secure workout experience. They really give me peace of mind when I’m working out. First up, there’s this emergency stop lanyard that’s super important. So important, in fact, that the treadmill will not start if you don’t have it inserted. You can see the error message I got when I first tried to use the treadmill without having the safety key in place.

If it comes off during your workout, the treadmill stops right away. It’s a great safety net, especially if I suddenly lose my balance or need to stop quick when running at top speed. Plus, it’s super reassuring to have when kids are around, just to make sure they’re safe and there aren’t any accidents.

Then of course, there are side railings on the treadmill. They’re really helpful when I’m getting on or off, or if I need a bit of stability during my run. They’ve got this non-slip texture too, so I feel confident that I won’t slip or fall.

The deck of the Star 100 is also something to talk about. I love the cushioning which makes working out a lot more comfortable and reduces the chance of any strain injuries over time. Another cool thing is the auto-stop feature. If the treadmill’s running but nobody’s on it, it’ll turn itself off. This is great for avoiding wear and tear, and it keeps things safe if I forget to turn it off. (Let’s be real… it could happen.)

And lastly, all the motor parts and the mechanical stuff are safely tucked away inside solid housings. This is a big deal, especially if you have curious kids or pets roaming around. It keeps them safe from any moving parts, and that’s a HUGE relief for me.

Pros and Cons

  • No Assembly Required: Arrives fully assembled (plus the power cord) in one piece.

  • Heavy Box: At almost 200 pounds, you might need an extra pair of hands to move the box into your home.
  • Weight Capacity Restrictions: Those with a heavy build might find the weight limit restrictive, as it’s not designed for very high weight capacities with a max limit of 265 pounds.
  • Basic Cushioning: While the cushioning is adequate, it may not suffice for those with joint issues seeking a very low-impact experience.

    1. It’s great, no issues at all. I just had ankle surgery so no walking for a little while, but I’m actually super thankful to have this for when I start rehabbing. It will be perfect for me to start taking slow, stable walks. I can’t WAIT. So tired of sitting around lol!
