Simple Fall Decor | Fall Home Tour
Here in Georgia, the temps are still in the 90s but it feels like fall in my heart! I started decorating as soon as I tore the August sheet off my kitchen calendar. Our house is still in transition as we just moved in about 6 weeks ago, but I just had to put in some pops of color to celebrate my favorite season. I decided on simple fall decor this year, not wanting to accumulate clutter. I really want ALL things pumpkin but I’m exercising restraint! Plus I have to keep things kid friendly for another couple of years – then maybe I’ll go all out. I’m excited to share my fall home tour with you today, as well as the homes of some other amazing bloggers!
Living Room Fall Decor
We spend most of our time in the living room, so I always make sure to decorate it first. It’s easy to pull out a few pumpkins and light a scented candle to get my fall vibes going!

I love how bright and airy my living room is, so I added just a few pops of color to bring it to life. Just a little color to break up all the neutral. Also, I didn’t want to overwhelm the room with all orange and yellow, so I added some dark blue in there. I love when I can use decor for more than one holiday or season, and these blue velvet pillow covers were perfect!

The textures of the pillow covers are what really make this space feel cozy. The blue velvet paired with the ivory corduroy make me want to snuggle down in the couch and watch holiday movies.
They also match my favorite throw blanket perfect. I actually call this my blankie. Not ashamed.
Of course I had to include one pillow cover that was more “fall” so I added this one with fall leaves.
Mantel Decor
Our mantel is the focal point of the living room, and I stuck with my theme of simple fall decor there too. A “happy fall” burlap banner, some colorful pumpkins, and some cloth pumpkins by the fireplace were just enough.

This cute little pumpkin from Walmart lights up!
Rowen has already unraveled the stem of the jewel-toned pumpkin. And this is exactly why I am trying to keep my fall decor kid-friendly for now! Both of these pumpkins can stand to be thrown and drug around the house – and eventually I relocate them back to their spot by the fireplace.
The littles love to climb up into this accent chair, so I keep my shelves mostly clear of decor for now. This Rae Dunn candle is fairly safe on top though, and I get to light it when they’re at school.
Dining Room Decor
Last year, I worked so hard to get my dining room makeover complete before Thanksgiving. This year, I hope to do the same! I’m still lacking my wall decor, but at least I have a tablescape! (I’m thinking a large mirror on the wall, yes?) So even though my dining room isn’t perfect yet, I’m sharing how it looks so far.
Keeping things simple here as well, since Rowen loves to grab anything he can reach. The last thing I need is for him to hurt himself with broken glass! So for now, no decorative plates and pretties at the table. Maybe one day.

I picked up this linen table runner at TJ Maxx and love it. Again, any decor that is functional for more than one season or purpose is a smart buy to me!
I repurposed this decorative bowl and filled it with white and burlap faux pumpkins. Just a touch of greenery and some fall colored faux plants finish off this space!
I love incorporating plants and items from nature when I can, whether they are real or faux.
My wall decor isn’t specifically fall-themed, but it does make me think of Thanksgiving and family!
Bathroom Decor
Obviously our half bathroom isn’t getting a lot of traffic, but I like to add some simple holiday decorations just for fun. Keeping the minimal fall decor here as well – just a few touches!
The greenery is great year round, but I’m a sucker for seasonal flowers. This white vase of faux sunflowers just begged to come home with me.

I snagged this wooden “hello pumpkin” sign from one of my favorite little small shops early in the season. If you haven’t checked out Ebenezer Market yet, you need to! I buy so many cute things there (including the sign in my dining room). You can use the code Amanda10 to save!

The fun little velvet pumpkin and cedar pumpkin candle finish off the room.
And just for fun – I have to show you my wooden crate for storing our extra toilet paper! I grabbed everything from Michael’s earlier this year.
I need to update this metal planter with some faux mums but just haven’t gotten to it yet.
