Easy Countertop Makeover

For Under $150!

Want to update your kitchen without a lot of time and expense? Try this simple DIY countertop makeover for a beautiful update in just one weekend - for under $150!

Start the tutorial

Here's What You Need

Step 1: Clean

Clear off your countertop surface and clean thoroughly. I used Krud Kutter to remove any remaining grease or oils.

Step 2: Sand

Use the 80 grit sandpaper (included in the kit) to scuff up the entire countertop surface and sides.

Step 3: Apply the Base Coat

Use the roller brush (included) to completely cover the countertop surface with this as a primer. After it dries, apply a second coat.

Step 4: Apply the stone coat

Mix really well, then apply 2 coats of the stone mixture. This is your new countertop color!

Step 5: Sand the stone surface

After it dries, lightly sand the surface to smooth and release the colorful stone speckles!

Step 6: Apply the clear coat

Apply the clear protective coat (no need to epoxy), and allow to dry and cure.
